Obverse: Full length figure of Napoléon in classical costume looking to proper right, wearing laureate crown; inscribed at edge "NAPOLEON EMPEREUR" and below "BRENET F. DENON D".

Reverse: Sculpture of standing Minerva holding a spear; inscribed at edge "EN L'AN XII. LE CODE CIVIL EST DECRETÉ [flower]" and at proper left of Minerva "BRENET F./DENON D.".
