DescriptionCircular medal of Napoléon III (1808-1873), emperor of France, commemorating the Exposition Universelle of 1867 with loop and ring attached to top.

Obverse: "N" above, surrounded by rays and two branches flanking three portrait medallions: male bust at proper right looking to proper right, wearing laureate wreath; female bust at proper left looking to proper right, and bust of male child below looking at proper right.

Reverse: Inscribed at edge "S.A.LE PRINCE IMPÉRIAL PRÉSIDENT" and in center "SOUVENIR/DE/MA VISITE/A L'EXPOSITION/UNIVERSELLE/DE 1867".
