Circular medal of Napoléon III (1808-1873), president of France, for the Exposition Universelle of 1855. Stamped on edge. With original fitted green leather case, lined in green velvet and stamped “EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE DE 1855 MEDAILLE DE 2 ME CLASSE”.
Obverse: Profile bust of Napoléon III looking to proper left; inscribed under bust and at edge.
Reverse: Various flags and other ornament commemorating the Exposition Universelle of 1855; inscribed on central emblem.
Inscribed on edge "CUIVRE".
Obverse: Inscribed under bust "ALBERT BARRE" and at edge "NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR".
