DescriptionThis is a necklace of forty-three rectangular faience beads with worn glaze and incised diagonal lines, and one faience ring bead at one end of the string. Also attached are two glazed faience amulet beads of the goddess Taweret, one of which has 11.2573 written on it (all strung together), however, on the description card the photo clearly shows that the number on the bead was originally 11.2579. Someone must have written 11.2573 on the bead later. 11.2573 is not related to 11.2579.
ProvenanceFrom Zawyet el-Aryan. Excavated by the Harvard University–Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.
