Necklaces and neck bands

This necklace of one hundred and six beads is composed of two large carnelian cylinder beads, one of which is broken, thirty-one small carnelian ring beads (belonging to the Early Dynastic period) and seventy-three faience ring beads (New Kingdom).


From Zawyet el-Aryan, Grave Z 33/x. 1910-11: 1910-11: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
