DescriptionTwo seperate strands, caught together at intervals of short segments of pressed gold leaf. At regular intervals are pendants (ten) beaten up in thin gold.
ProvenanceBy 1885: with A. Manetti, San Remo (according to a letter to him from Serafino Gamberai the necklace was found by peasants near Talamone [Tuscan marshlands] in the summer of 1884); sold by Manetti to an anonymous collector; anonymous gift to MFA, April 30, 1888
