Feathered neckpiece to go with pink evening gown. Dark-colored rectangular-shaped seed beads (with sheen hints of metallic purple, and a gold/green color) are sewn (with wine-colored thread) onto a wine-colored, netted material approximately 1/4in. wide and 13in. long. Sewn beneath the netted material is a silk magenta ribbon. Sandwiched between the netting material and the ribbon is a wine colored silk fabric. Sandwiched between the silk fabric are hundreds of wine-colored feathers. The feathers are relatively small in size, with thin quills. Most of the barbules have been cut (only the top portion of barbules remain), to expose the thin quill. The feathers are layered upon each other, and the texture of the exposed quills contrasts with the airy, fluffy appearance of the barbules. A maroon ribbon (approximately 1/4in. wide and 18in. long) is sewn to each side of the neckpiece, acting as the fastener.
