Worked in New England after a German (Berlin) design: cf. 55.451. Needlepoint picture, framed and glazed: “Familien Glück”. Canvas ground, embroidered with polychrome wools and silks in cross-stitch and tent stitch. Shows a family at open door of a cottage: mother seated at threshhols holding baby; father leaning on lower half of door, behind her; boy and girl playing on floor with kittens.
