DescriptionOblong octagonal plateau with canted corners, decorated with three Chinese figures seated smoking at a table, waited on by two attendants, flanked by flowering trees on which stand Chinese musicians, with birds and insects fluttering above, the border with trailing plants and flowers to the angles.
InscriptionsOn underside, paper label from 1932 exhibition of French faience at Musee des arts decoratifs, Paris.
