DescriptionOne face of a cushion cover, probably made from a larger piece cut down. Worked in satin stitch with blue silk yarns on probably a linen and cotton ground. Scrolling floral design includes birds, double-headed eagle, insects, and double-tailed mermaid whose fish tails merge with carnations; scrollwork border along one edge.
