Orphey (in two parts, a-b)

Ground: gold thread (gold wound on yellow silk) couched with yellow silk. Design: saints, one in each of six panels, worked with blue, pink and green silk in split-stitch, with accents and outlines of gold thread. Several shades of each color used, to suggest modeling in relief. Clouds below saints, gold thread partly worked over with silk. Worn. See note on saints.
