Rock crystal. Intaglio. Flat front and back with slight inward back bezel. A female head in profile faces left. The image is crudely rendered, with a series of lines shaping the hair, eyebrow, eye, nose, and mouth. A vertical line runs down the cheek. It is unclear whether there is an adornment or wreath crowning the hair, which is styled in a chignon. Although the carving is rough, there is still a certain attention to realistic detail: the cheek, for example, is given depth and roundness and all key facial features are distinguishable.
