Intaglio. Set in modern ring. Slightly convex front and back. Male portrait head facing right. The young-to-middle-aged man has a sharp nose and curly hair that falls down the back of his neck. The foremost locks of hair are combed to the side of his forehead. The latter two traits are characteristics of the Julio-Claudian period in Roman art.
