DescriptionRed jasper. Intaglio. Flat front and back with slight inward front bezel and deeper inward back bezel. Minerva sits on a stool, with her head in profile to the right, her torso frontal, and her lower body in three-quarter view. She wears a crested helmet and a long tunic with a mantle (himation) slung around her hips. She holds a figure of Victoria (Victory) on her outstretched left hand, and her right hand supports a spear and shield resting on the ground behind her. The motif is situated on a ground line.
