DescriptionBlack silk leaf. Design of woman seated at table doing fancy work (crewel embroidery?), signed "F. Houghton"; painted gold scrollwork ornamented with steel sequins at sides; narrow gilt bands top, bottom. Neopolitan pierced tortoise-shell sticks with gilt detail and steel piqué work; reverse blades over leaf painted black with gilt scrollwork. Yellow jewel studs in rivet. Brass ring.
