Pair of cylindrical vases (rolwagen) with decoration typical of the Ming Transitional style (1644-1682). Chinese figures on a bluish white ground and landscape vignettes, inlcuding trees and banana leaves in underglaze blue.
Two labels on underside of each:

By May 1993, Salomon Stodel, Amsterdam (dealer); May 1994, sold by Stodel to the G. Ephis collection (private collector), France; 2012, sold by the G. Ephis collection to the MFA. (Accession Date: October 24, 2012).
