DescriptionScottish, paisley, reversible shawl. Kashmir imitation. tabby-woven, with silk warps and silk or wool wefts. Pattern shows small floral and cone motifs and large conventionalized floral and arch motifs superimposed on a ground of wide and narrow stripes. Same pattern on reverse, in opposite colors. Colors predominantly yeloow, white, red and black. Green selvedges. At both ends, warps knotted into fringe.
