The design, a saint with a sword (St. Paul) standing in a niche, with a round arch, is couched with blue, brown and red silk, black and red wool and silver thread made by winding linen thread with silvered gold beaters’ skin. The gold thread which is made with metal, was probably added later. The figure of the saint is applied.
