Rectangular linen panel, embroidered with polychrome silks, gold and silver thread and gilt coiled wire in satin, split and couching stitches. The flesh parts of the figures and the narrow border are of applied yellowish beige satin. Central panel shows St. Anthony kneeling in a landscape, holding the Christ child, attended by two putti; above, in a cloud-bordered aura appear the Virgin and three cherubs. In the border a flowering vine with gold leaves and red-and-white, yellow and gold blossoms. Very much worn; small holes and stains. Silver thread and gilt wire tarnished.
