White linen embroidered in crewel stitches with two shades of blue wool, in a design of meandering vine with conventional leaves and flowers; solid areas within flowers and leaves in Roumanian couching or New England laid stitch; thinner stems and outlines in stem stitch; thicker stems and blue border in herringbone stitch (border embroidered later, when bed curtain cut apart); dots in leaves and flowers at in French knots and cross stitch; dotted lines inside petals of flowers in running stitch
