White linen embroidered in crewel stitches with two shades of blue wool, in a design of meandering vine with conventional leaves and flowers; solid areas within flowers and leaves in Roumanian couching or New England laid stitch; thinner stems and outlines in stem stitch; thicker stems and blue border in herringbone stitch (border embroidered later, when bed curtain cut apart); dots in three leaves at center in French knots; dots in flower at center bottom in cross stitch; dotted lines inside petals of pair of flowers at bottom in running stitch
