The complete early series of this photographic star atlas consists of 201 leaves in 10 portfolios. The images were gathered from observatories around the world and reproduced in uniform format. This particular view, of the southern sky, was taken with Harvard University's Bruce Telescope, installed at Arequipa, Chile, on December 23, 1906 (Bruce Telescope image 1686).
