DescriptionFrom a furnishing fabric used at Wembley Park, England. Irregular fragment, made up of a number of small pieces sewn together. Natural, tabby-woven cotton ground, printed with wood blocks in an all over pattern of flowering branches. Tones of red, green, yellow, blue, and tan, with black outlines. Pattern shows Indian influence and resembles wood block prints ascribed to Jony. Partly faded and browned, partly very fresh. Border of pale blue cotton at one end, on reverse.
