DescriptionPilgrim flask of heavy, finely grained stone. The body shape is ovoid. The base is rounded, and the rim is slightly rolled and everted. There is some oblique veining. The handles are carved in the shape of uraeus cobras. The handles are attached to either side of the neck. It is complete.
ProvenanceFrom Abydos. 1902: excavated by William Matthew Flinders Petrie for the Egypt Exploration Fund, assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund in the division of finds by the government of Egypt, received by the MFA through subscription to the Egypt Exploration Fund on November 17, 1902.
