DescriptionLaid-work and drawn-work. The cloth of which this piece is made is woven from the fiber of the pineapple. The design consists of an undulating vine repeated in bands which run the full length of the scarf. Elaborate drawn-work forms part of the flowers which grow from the vines; laid-work is used for the rest of the design. Small dots are powdered in the spaces between the vines, and there are scallops at each end. It is somewhat stained.
