The Ancient World



Ovoid body, trefoil mouth, one handle, small base. Most of body covered with fluting. Decoration in dull black: line at lip, two dotted circles (eyes) on either side of neck, band at bottom of neck. On shoulder a reserved band with a cross-hatched triangle at center, and a framed vertical chevron stack on each side. Body below shoulder, including fluted area, is solid black.
