Coil base; globular body with tragic mask applied opposite the handle; tubular neck; funnel mouth; handle extending from shoulder to middle of neck, with thumbrest at the bend. Deep blue. Intact; areas of iridescence.


Said to have been found near Horns, Syria. 1931, gift of Nellie Parney Carter (b. 1857 - d. 1933), Boston, to the MFA. (Accession Date: June 9, 1931)
