DescriptionPlaque in the shape of a Hellenistic shield decorated with a figure of Victory (Nike) emerging from a thunderbolt. The plaque is worked in repoussé with a large palmette framing the figure of a draped goddess whose lower half merges into a chalice of acanthus foliage. The edges are pierced with small holes for attachment to a functional object. The bottom point is broken off. Provincial.
