Description"Orangist" plate, decorated in the Netherlands. Bust-length profile portraits of Frederica Sophia Wilhelmina and Prince William V of Orange (1751-1795) in red, green, yellow, brown and black; an orange tree between them and "3". Initials PV / OR above and inscription in Dutch below the heads, part of a poem that extends over an original set of six plate
InscriptionsFragment of a poem below busts: "Dit zag ik in dees middag stond". Above them, "PV" over her and "OR" over him.

On underside, octagonal gummed label inscribed: "H. W. C. Browne / Old Delft Plate / with Prince & / Princess of Orange / Orange pattern, etc."
