Black exterior, polychrome geometric decoration on yellow crazed glaze on interior, red concentric rings at rim. Wire for wall hanging inserted through foot of plate.
Signed "M. Purkiss" in black on patch of white glaze inside foot ring, also signed "Purkiss" in blue below geometric design on foot. Red paper label on back: "AN ORIGINAL / DESIGN BY / M PURKISS / CERAMICS / NO DUPLICATES" and printed paper label "443".
