DescriptionOctagonal serving platter, possibly from a unique dinner service. The center is painted with a view of Guangzhou (Canton) and the distant White Cloud mountains. Beyond the crenellated walls at the edge of the Pearl River are the Flowery Pagoda, the Mohammedan or Plain Tower, and the Watchtower, or Pavilion Overlooking the Sea.
