DescriptionRectangular envelope style pocketbook. Polychrome opaque and translucent glass beads strung with linen thread, held together by interlocking looping stitches (sablé). Polychrome design on white ground with yellow and black borders: Baroque floral motifs (obv. and flap); sun and phoenix of Louis XIV, ribbon above inscribed IE VIT SANS MOVRIR, borders inscribed SI IE MEVR CE NEST QVE POVR REVIVRE (rev.). Silver metallic galloon binding. White silk taffeta lining and side panels. Cardboard foundation.
