1938 until at least 1945, the artist's estate (Lugt 1570b) [see note]. 1969, sold by R. M. Light, Inc., Boston, to the MFA. (Accession Date: April 10, 1969)

NOTE: According to Lugt, this particular mark was used for those works on paper deposited with the Kunstmuseum, Basel, during World War II, by the Kirchner estate.
