DescriptionIn addition to being an insightful writer on aesthetics and symbolism, Ananda Coomaraswamy, the Museum's Keeper of Indian Art, was an amateur photographer. It was he who proposed the Museum's first Stieglitz acquisition, in 1924. The dancer Stella Bloch was at the this time Coomaraswamy's wife.
