Figure of Mathieu Mole (1584–1656), who served as the first president of the Paris parliament from 1641 until 1651 and played a pivotal role in negotiating peace during the Fronde.
Incised on plinth: "LR3" for Josse-Francois Le Riche, head of the sculpture atelier at Sevres 1757-68, and 1775-1801.
