DescriptionHemispherical shape on spreading, stepped foot engraved with a band of shells and paterae. Molded lip, engraved below with four carouches, two enclosing female masks and two enclosing wild masks, all connected by panels of diaperwork.
Marks Struck under base with hallmarks (leopard's head, lion passant, date letter for 1736-7) and with maker's mark of John White (Grimwade 1735)
