Bulbous shape with large perforations on neck. Yellow-brown glaze with raised decoration of bird, flowers, foliage in white, yellow and green glaze, decorated with scaffiato work. Spout in the form of a duck handle surmounted by modeled pigeon, 2 fully-raised flowers on rim (4 petals broken off). Large chip on base, several chips in glaze of body, pigeon glued.
Possibly in the collection of Prince Liechtenstein, Vienna [see note 1]. Henri Heilbronner, Lucerne, Switzerland; 1960, sold by Heilbronner to the MFA for $100. (Accession date: September 21, 1960)
