Quilted bedcover with overhanging border of deep blue glazed wool (calimanco), quilted in stem and flower motif. Hand-quilted with about 13 stitches per inch. Central section is mid-18th century English brocaded woolen damask. Damask ground is white with polychrome brocading in two different leaf and flower motifs. Backing is red wool cloth. Glazed wool is worn in places; repairs along one seam.
