Bartsch describes two variants of this print, one with a shadow behind the woman’s back, and one without. This impression has a shadow behind the woman’s back, but it is shaped differently from the one illustrated in The Illustrated Bartsch. Furthermore, the work behind Raphael’s head looks like that of the impression illustrated in TIB without the shadow behind the woman’s back, which differs significantly from that of the impression with the shadow illustrated in TIB.
