DescriptionThis fragment of a chancel screen that would have created a partition between the sanctuary and nave. Decorated in relief with a pattern of interlacing knots and rosettes.
This as well as corinthian capital 1980.469) and pier captial (1978.500) come from Northern Syria in the rural communities surrounding the capital city of Antioch.

Reddish patina, right edge chipped, lower left corner broken off.
