Illustrations: history of founding of the Carthusian order (fol. A2r), tree of the saints of the order (a1v), various portraits of popes (repeated).

First edition. The 61 woodcuts are printed from 9 blocks, many are repeated. According to Rowlands in Hollstein, Urs Graf designed 21 cuts. One cut is signed by the Master DS. Many initial letters are embellished with fine pen work in blue and red.
