Ring with an octagonal bezel set with a carved gem and two cabochon carnelians. The elongated box bezel has a circular, carved quartz stone featuring a woman’s head in profile. This stone is flanked, above and below, by two circular cabochon carnelians. The stones are set in the box and have raised, round-wire surrounds. The plain shoulders expand toward the bezel. The shank is plain. The underside of the bezel is closed except under the central, carved stone. The surface of the bezel is made from a separate metal sheet and is plain except for the notched border.
