Chocolate-brown paint on a cream ground with dense patterns of spirals, filled arcs, and bordered lines. Side-handle and spout in form of a cup with two handles (strainer). Around shoulder, two spotted snakes with heads over rim of cup-spout.

1971, sold by Mohammad Yeganeh (dealer; b. 1929 - d. 2012), Frankfurt, to the MFA [see note]. (Accession Date: January 13, 1971)

NOTE: Said by the dealer at the time of acquisition to have come from Troy.
