While incorporating rough diamonds in jewels became fashionable among high-style jewelers in the 1990s, New York City jeweler Peter Lindeman designed a series of one-of-a-kind ornaments with rough, unpolished stones in gold during the 1970s. In this example, there are 18 rough diamonds (28.80 carats total), and 17 brilliant diamonds, and 12 pear-shaped rubies.
