DescriptionRectangular rug woven with linen warp and wool wefts in tapestry technique; background formed from interlocking marled grey and white leaf-like fields containing stylized floral sprigs and larger branches in shades of green, pink, and cream; serrated green border at top and bottom; vertical bands with serpentine floral vine on white ground flanked by serpentine green guard borders at either loom end; linen warps kilim woven at either end terminating in self knotted fringe aprox. 4" long; printed white cotton label sewn to lower right corner verso, stamped at top in purple ink "TO SIE 198[4? 1?]": "Zakopianskie / Warsztaty Wzorcowe / So-nia Rek. Lud. Art. / w Zakopanem / 4-1017 [inscribed] / Export no. 90/670/5 / Kind of kelim kilim grzebyczkowy / Name 'W drobne kwiatki' / Designer's name M.
