DescriptionEmbroidered across the top are the words (translated as) "By the hand of Donia Maria de la Concepcion Navaro October 30 (?) 1837". Directly beneath this a line of simple stylized animals leading from a farm house. The field beneath this is divided into halves, each with rectangular compartments, one above the other, having various forms of drawnwork with stylized animals, geometric and floral motives. Stitches: cross, double running, 4-sided, long-armed cross, saw tooth; pulled work including Aztec stitch.
