DescriptionOval lipped body raised on a shaped oval base cast and chased with naturalistic foliage and shells, rising to three cast mermaid-fiigure supports with entwined tails. Applied garland of fruit and foliage across each side, meeting at an oval cartouche below a wild animal mask with protruding tungue. Foliate scroll rim. The handle in the shape of a winged gryyphon with bared teeth.

Marks Struck under bases with hallmarks (leopard's head, lion passant, date letter for 1742-3) and with maker's mark of Frederick Kandler.
