DescriptionDark orange-red carnelian. Scarab with flat, oval base engraved in intaglio; pierced lengthwise. Man in profile on a bridled, rearing horse to left. Partial groundline. Hatched border. ‘A globolo’ technique. Back carved as a beetle with a low profile. A line divides the elytra. Winglets indicated with two diagonal lines. Linear middle legs and plastic, hatched back and front legs. Hatched plinth. Crack and white vein on the left side of the beetle.
