Mottled, orange-red carnelian. Fragmentary scarab with a flat, oval base engraved in intaglio; pierced lengthwise. Warrior in profile to left, leaning over his spear and shield. Crude cable border. ‘A globolo’ technique. Only the undecorated plinth and bottom of the spined legs remain of the scarab, which was cut off. Chip missing at bottom left.
