DescriptionMilky chalcedony. Scaraboid with intaglio on flat face. A stag stands facing a branch at right. Its antlers are large in proportion to its head and body. It is simplistically rendered, without attention to much detail, although its ears and tail are visible. There are a few small stray marks by the stag’s hind legs. The branch, perhaps palm, is equally simple and has six leaves. The gem is pierced horizontally for mounting or suspension. Its surfaces are very polished.
